This Agency and Fujian Lienchiang District Prosecutors Office jointly investigated the case that Liu X, the committee member of the Lienchiang County Government’s Economic Development Department for procurement decision-making and selection, requested Yang X, the owner of the bidding supplier, for 9% to 10% of the bid payment as the consideration being awarded with the bid. Liu X was also discovered concealing the fact that his son applied for subsidies in the name of others and approving the application, while serving as a selection committee member of the innovative R&D subsidy program for local small and medium-sized enterprises, violating of the provisions of Paragraph 1 of Article 14 Act on Recusal of Public Servants Due to Conflicts of Interest.
The case was concluded and the prosecutor considered that Liu X and others were involved in the offenese of Anti-Corruption Act for accepting bribes by taking advantage of their duties.
