State-owned Enterprise Examination E-fraud Syndicate led by Wu X was involved in the alleged offense of fraudulent gain under the Criminal Code of the Republic of China.

The Agency and the Taiwan Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office jointly investigated the state-owned enterprise examination E-fraud syndicate led by Wu X and others. From 2016 to 2021, the investigation targeted entrance exam cheating for profit for recruits for Taipower, CPC Corporation, China Steel Corporation, and other state-owned enterprises. At least 20 candidates, such as Kuo X, were recruited to pass the entrance exams via electronic fraud. After the candidates were admitted, they paid NT$1.2 million to NT$1.5 million each to the syndicate, and the syndicate made a profit of at least NT$21.619 million.

The prosecutor concluded the investigation and found that the members of the state-owned enterprise examination E-fraud syndicate led by Wu X had  violated the crime of aggravated fraud for profit.
