Shen X, the speaker of the Yunlin County Council, and others were suspected of accepting a bribe for an official act

The Agency, in conjunction with the Taiwan Yunlin District Prosecutors Office and the Changhua County Field Office of the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau, investigated the case of Shen X, the speaker of the Yunlin County Council, and others who used their power to pressure public officials of Yunlin County Government, demanding the county government’s relevant departments and bureaus to expedite the issuance of official documents and assist in handling local affairs, and received a total of NT$28,154,899 in bribes from the ○ wind power plant company.

After the investigation was concluded, the prosecutor indicted Shen X and others for suspicion of taking bribes by an act that belongs to the official duties and other offenses under the Anti-Corruption Act.
