Liu Chen X, the speaker of the Penghu County Council, and others were suspected of accepting a bribe for an official act

The Agency and the Taiwan Penghu District Prosecutors Office jointly investigated the case of Liu Chen X, the speaker of the Penghu County Council, and others who used their influence over the supervision of the Penghu County Government’s budget and personnel to arrange jobs for multiple people in relevant departments and bureaus of the Penghu County Government. They then instructed their chief secretary to accept a total of NT$1.76 million in bribes.

After the investigation was concluded, the prosecutor indicted Liu Chen X and others for suspicion of taking bribes by an act that belongs to the official duties under the Anti-Corruption Act.
