Justice Minister Chiu hosted the “Oath Taking Ceremony of new Deputy Director-General of the Agency Against Corruption and Senior Ethics Officers”

Justice Minister Chiu Tai-San hosted the “Oath Taking Ceremony of new Deputy Director-General of the Agency Against Corruption (AAC) and Senior Ethics Officers” in the conference hall at the 1st floor of the AAC building on October 24 at 9:00 am. This reshuffle included the appointment of former Director Chen Rong-Chou of the Department of Civil Service Ethics of Kaohsiung City Government as Deputy Director-General of AAC, former Director Lin Ho-Sheng of the Department of Civil Service Ethics of Tainan City Government as Director of Department of Civil Service Ethics of Kaohsiung City Government, former Senior Specialist Yang Hua-Hsing of The Department of Civil Service Ethics of Judicial Yuan as Director of Civil Service Ethics Office of Ministry of Audit, and former Director Wang Ming-Chao of the Civil Service Ethics Office of Keelung Port, Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance as Director of Department of Civil Service Ethics of the Miaoli County Government.

 

Deputy Director-General Chen Rong-Chou was proactive in the advocacy of ethics and anti-corruption when he was the Director of Department of Civil Service Ethics of Kaohsiung City Government and was able to promote ethics businesses, preemptively manage risk. His track of record in ethics enforcement and anti-corruption was obvious. AAC is an agency of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). With the participation and under the leadership of Deputy Director-General Chen, the work of anti-corruption could be done much better.

 

The three senior ethics and anti-corruption officers taking the oath have track of record and sound experience in related fields and are familiar with the work of ethics and anti-corruption. They will demonstrate their strength in their new positions and can provide timely interpretation of applicable laws and recommendation. They will help to accomplish the three major objectives of “Reduction of Corruption and Malfeasance”, “Enhancement of Punishment on Corruption and Malfeasance”, and the “Protection of Human Rights”.
