Functional Communication Report Meeting Between Investigation Bureau and Agency Against Corruption, Ministry of Justice 38th Meeting

     In order to strengthen the functional communication between the Agency Against Corruption and Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice, the “Functional Communication Report Meeting Between Investigation Bureau and Agency Against Corruption, Ministry of Justice” is convened on a semi-annual basis, attended by the competent authority supervisors from the Investigation Bureau and branches (offices) thereof and the Agency Against Corruption, and the supervisors of ethics offices of the central and local government entities, for both sides to exchange opinions and share experience on malpractice investigation cases and safety reporting, coordination and support.

     The 38th Functional Communication Report Meeting between the Agency and the Investigation Bureau was convened at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum on May 15, 2019. The Meeting invited the Minister of the Ministry of Justice to offer encouragement, and also Deputy Minister Tsai of Ministry of Justice, Director Wang of the Department of Prosecutorial Affairs and Chief Prosecutor Wang of the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office to provide guidance. Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Division and Government Infrastructure Security Division of the Investigation Bureau, and the Malpractices Investigation Division and Civil Service Ethics Division of the Agency were arranged to brief the work report, and exchange and discuss opinions with each other at the Meeting. According to statistics, both parties reached agreement on research on and submission of three motions this year.  The Agency will continue to strengthen the functional communication with the Investigation Bureau mutually via the Meeting, in order to achieve the “one plus one equals more than two” results by integrating and developing expertise and characteristics vested in both entities.
