Nationwide Project Auditing or Case Review by Agency Against Corruption in 2019

     The Agency Against Corruption (AAC) launched a series of project auditing or case reviews on 11 topics (including: 1. Flood Prevention and Control Work; 2. Implementation of signature by designated staff in construction procurement; 3. Border inspection and quarantine work; 4. Various forms of subsidies; 5. Various types of construction project procurement; 6. Relocation allowance; 7. Inspection and penalty on public nuisance; 8. Mortuary and burial services; 9. Incentive Rewards for afforestation; 10. Meals and scrapping of de-commissioned materials in the armed forces; 11. Procurement in remote areas and areas without the establishment of government employee ethics units) in 2019 to guide government employee ethics units across the country to look into the area of operations of relevant entities vulnerable to corruption and other corruption and malfeasance cases of the past from the perspectives of understanding the grievances of the people and enhancement of public interest. This move aimed at integrating a series of project auditing or case reviews assigned to different task forces of relevant ethics offices of the competent authority.The effort of the AAC effectively helps to reduce the risk of corruption inherent to business of relevant government agencies vulnerable to corruption and malfeasance, and realization of the value of the professed duty of the AAC in the protection of public interest.
