Minister Tsai attended the Finance Forum 2021“Clean, competent, and compliant governance – sustainable business with integrity” held by Bank of Taiwan on October 27th, 2021.

To combat unscrupulous financial consultants who fail to comply with the "Ten Commandments of Financial Consultants" and take advantage of the trust of clients to misappropriate accrued wealth, Premier Su of the Executive Yuan requested at the Central Integrity Committee 2020 that Financial Supervisory Commission and State-owned Banks step up supervisory efforts and focus on cultural shaping and changes in order to form an anti-corruption atmosphere.

 

Under the joint guidance of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, and the Financial Supervisory Commission, the Bank of Taiwan invited the State-owned Banks to hold the Finance Forum 2021“Clean, competent, and compliant governance – sustainable business with integrity” on October 27th, 2021. Tsai Ching-Hsiang, Minister of Justice, Su Jain-Rong, Minister of Finance, Huang Tien-Mu, Chairperson of the Financial Supervisory Commission, and the chairmen of State-owned Banks all gathered to sign the “Clean and Competent Enterprise - Ethical Financial Consultants” Declaration, conveying their determination to continuously develop culture of integrity and nurture incorruptible qualities in employees.

 

In his speech, Minister Tsai pointed out that integrity is the core value of an enterprise, and that compliance with laws and regulations is the practice of corporate integrity. Accordingly, Agency Against Corruption’s implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) has expanded from the public sector to the private sector in hopes of establishing anti-corruption partnerships and increasing Taiwan’s global competitiveness. Cheng Ming-Chian, Director-General of Agency Against Corruption, also participated in the forum to discuss with the honored guests over the topic “Risk Management and Control in Wealth Management Promotion” and deepen the value of integrity.
