AAC Director-General Chuang, who chaired the staff meeting on May 24^th, 2022. He first thanked to the five former Director-Generals for building a solid foundation for AAC, which has made the work of ethics to be "thriving, impressive and admirable.”

After Chuang listened attentively to the working reports of each division and office, he shared his own experiences and enthusiasm. He not only praised ethics officers for burnishing the brand image of AAC, but also encouraged them with the following four key points, with the expectation that all will work together to build a government with integrity, competency and transparency.

I. Professionalism: Continuously refine basic skills to enhance professionalism and competency as well as familiarity with the laws and regulations, such as the Act on Recusal of Public Servants Due to Conflicts of Interest, the Act on Property-Declaration and the Ethics Guidelines for Civil Servants, or the specific laws and regulations for different agencies which should all be mastered and familiarized with.

II. Integrity: Sweep before one’s own door, and uphold upstanding conduct and integrity.

III. Proactivity: Take the initiative to contact and interact with colleagues, grasp the potential risks in each agency’s affairs, review official secrets and ensure security at all times while taking precautionary measures to prevent colleagues from violating the law.

IV. Role Transition: all ethics colleagues have to change the mindset and uphold the spirit of service, to prevent incidents beforehand instead of the investigation of accountability after the fact. Such as the AAC recent promotion of the Government Procurement Integrity Platform, Foreign Business and Enterprise Integrity Forums etc., which all demonstrate the implementation of the concept of service.
