Agency Against Corruption dispatched its officials to attend the International Anti-Corruption Conference, IACC on 22-24 October, 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

IACC is the world’s premier global forum for bringing together heads of state, civil society, the private sector and more to tackle the increasingly sophisticated challenges posed by corruption. The theme for the 18th IACC is “Together for Development, Peace and Security: Now is the Time to Act”, which advocates that government and international organizations must implement actions in order to support citizens, activists and journalists who fight for their rights. In other sessions, the importance of fighting against illicit financial flows, organization crimes and exposure of corruption and the emerging phenomena of fake news has been highlighted.

In addition to the participation of the conference and other related workshops, the delegation also paid a visit to the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman with Taipei Representative Office in Denmark and Transparency International Chinese Taipei (TICT)’s accompany. Both of them had a discussion on Denmark’s experience in implementing the anti-corruption work and the exercise power of the ombudsman institution.
