The Agency Against Corruption (AAC) hosted the “1st Session of the 2020 National Conference for High-Ranked Officers of the Government Employee Ethics Units of Competent Authorities Nationwide” on July 7, 2020 for the consolidation and consensus-building between AAC and high-ranked officers from ethics offices of the competent authorities nationwide. The participants in the conference also shared their experience and exchanged their points of view in the policies and directions of the anti-corruption businesses.

Minister of Justice Tsai, Ching-Hsiang was invited to the occasion. In conveying the directives of Premier Su in the “We have a Government and it’s a competent one. The Government is there for your peace of mind!”, Minister Tsai encouraged and expected the participants to perform their professed duties in due diligence and change the inertness as was in the past. Anti-corruption officers should proactively dig out problems from inside the institutions or the reflection from the people. To give solutions for problems will be far more important. All should voluntarily seek solutions for the problems they face at work with the appropriate use of authority, and work as a team to tackle them to demonstrate competence.
