The digital course "An Introduction to the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the Promotion of Taiwan's Anti-Corruption Policies," produced by the Agency Against Corruption (AAC), Ministry of Justice, has won the Gold Award in the EdTech Excellence Awards category of the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards. As Taiwan is set to host the international review of ROC's Third Report under the United Nations Convention against Corruption later this year, this international gold award not only affirms Taiwan's efforts in anti-corruption education, but also marks a distinguished prelude to the upcoming international review.
The United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) represents the highest-level global framework for anti-corruption legislation. The award-winning digital course was meticulously produced by the AAC and covers three core aspects:
- The essence of the convention and global overview: The course guides learners to delve into the core provisions of the convention and to learn about the latest trends and cooperation mechanisms in international anti-corruption efforts.
- The journey of voluntary compliance: The course provides a detailed record of how Taiwan, as a non-United Nations member state, has proactively integrated itself into the global community and successfully translated international norms into its domestic legislation.
- Localized implementation and policy highlights: The course ultimately focuses on the key points of Taiwan's current anti-corruption policies, helping learners understand how Taiwan has incorporated the spirit of the convention into localized action plans such as transparent governance, social engagement, and enterprise integrity through concrete case studies.
The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards are known as the "Oscars of the Learning World." Receiving the Gold Award on this occasion serves as an important indicator of Taiwan's successful integration of global anti-corruption standards. In the upcoming international review, the AAC will build on this momentum of innovation to showcase to the international community the depth and breadth of Taiwan's transparent governance, anti-corruption legislation, and integrity education. Through continued dialogue with international experts, Taiwan will further refine its anti-corruption policies.
